A change at the top of Cumberland’s Department of Parks and Recreation with the retirement of longtime director Diane Johnson in December. The responsibilities include overseeing operations at the city swimming pool, tennis courts, playground areas as well as the amphitheatre. In addition she dealt with scheduling and making sure the annual Fourth of July fireworks shows went smoothly and addressing any maintenance problems that develop. Cumberland Mayor Ray Morriss said that Diane served headed the department for two decades during some challenging times…
