The City of Cumberland’s Community Development department will soon be launching a new program, called Citizenserve, to better serve the residents of Cumberland. This online portal offers citizens a single source for everything relating to permits, rental licensing and code enforcement. Citizenserve’s self-service portal provides residents with easy access to take care of many matters that previously required a visit to City Hall.
With the introduction of the portal, registered users can log in to initiate
and track the status of these and many other activities:
Apply for new commercial or residential permit applications
	 License a rental property
	 Submit an occupancy permit application
Reserve a park pavilion at Constitution Park
	 Initiate a Certificate of Appropriateness
	 Submit a code complaint
	 Pay any associated fees online
The City will be generating all Rental License renewals for FY21 using
Citizenserve, so property owners currently in the Rental Program can
expect to see a renewal notice in the mail in early June.
General information about the City of Cumberland can be found on the
website at www.cumberlandmd.gov. Questions regarding Citizenserve
may be directed to the Community Development Department at 301-722-
	2000 ext. 5600.

The City government is definitely having an upswing year. I attribute the positive developments to Mayor Morriss. Keep it up!
