On July 27th, 2023 at approximately 10:15 am, the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 500 block of City View Terrace for an assault. Upon arrival officers contacted the victim who advised that they had been grabbed by the neck and pushed to the ground by Erik Damon Baker. The officer observed injuries on the victim consistent with their statement, and Baker was placed under arrest. He was transported to central booking, and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
