City Woman Held Without Bond on Home Invasion Charge

On June 14th, at approximately 10:30 PM, Cumberland City Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Greene Street for an assault.

During that incident Amanda Renee Swauger is alleged to have entered the residence without permission and assaulted a pregnant female.  Swauger then fled the scene but was identified through an investigation.  An officer applied for charges through District Court and a warrant was issued.

On Saturday, Swauger was arrested for the warrant.   She was taken before a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

Arrested – Amanda Renee Swauger (31) Cumberland, MD

Charges – Home Invasion, Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Burglary 3rd Degree, Burglary 4th Degree, and Trespassing
