Allegany County Commissioners are working with the Moore administration after FEMA denied the county flood relief funds.  During last night’s commission meeting, County Administrator Jason Bennett said they are doing what they can, but what happens from here is still a little unknown…

“We do know the governor’s office and MDEM has already started work on a potential appeal there.  We already have a couple meetings lined up for next week to see what we need to do to add to our costs—our costs have only gone up since the time of our first application to FEMA.  So, we’re hoping to go back and see what we can do, but work continues there, work will continue there, and one way or another we’ll get this figured out.”
