On Monday, February 5th, 2024, the Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Martin Lewis Stanback, 33, of Cumberland MD. The summons was in reference to an incident that occurred on February 4th, 2024, at an apartment building on N. Liberty St. On that date, The Cumberland Police responded for a trespassing complaint and located Stanback on the property without permission. Stanback was issued a no-trespassing letter by the owner of the property and ordered not to return. It was later learned that Stanback had given officers a false name on the night of the incident. As a result, an application of charges was submitted and a criminal summons issued. Stanback was served the summons on this date and released, pending trial in District Court.
