Cumberland City Police officers recognized and honored this week

On the afternoon of October 27th last year, three Cumberland City Police officers responded to an incident at Jane Frazier Village- and through their efforts saved the life of an infant. Those officers were recognized and honored this week during the Mayor and City Council meeting. First to arrive that day was PFC Cassidy Lease. She immediately reacted when she heard and then saw an out of control woman in an overflowing bathtub lying on top of a baby trying to end its life. A struggle ensued and ultimately Cassidy was able to remove the baby from the tub as officers Jeremy Robinson and Ashlee Stumbaugh arrived to assist in getting control of the situation.
