On October 2nd, 2022, The Cumberland City Police responded to a South St residence in the for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male and female inside at the home. After speaking with both subjects, it was learned that an argument broke out between the two. The argument then turned physical and the female began to strike and throw items at the male, causing minor injuries. As a result, Brittanie Nicole Nixon, 31, was placed under arrest for assault and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. She was taken before the District Court Commissioner for her Initial Appearance where she was released on her own recognizance.
