Cumberland Police Arrest Two At Knox Street Call

June 24th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

Just after 9 PM Saturday, officers with Cumberland Police were called to a location on Knox Street for a report of an assault.

Officers arrived and made contact with Crystal Rose Beal along with another subject.  While they were investigating the assault complaint, it was determined that the other subject had a order of protection keeping Beal from contacting him.

Beal was taken into custody without incident and transported to Police Headquarters for processing.  She was later taken before the District Court Commissioner where she was released pending trial in District Court.

While on the scene, officers also detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the breath of the operator of the vehicle that brought the subjects to this location.  Officers conducted standardized field sobriety tests on John Adam Snyder.  At the conclusion of the testing Snyder was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Snyder was transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed and later released.

Crystal Rose Beal, age 36 of Cumberland, MD
Charge: Violation of an order of protection

John Adam Snyder, age 42 of Cumberland, MD
