On November 4th, 2022, The Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Paca St for the report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim of the alleged assault. The victim advised officers that they had gotten into a verbal altercation with another subject in the home. The subject then became upset and began to strike the victim in the face with a closed fist, causing visible signs of injury. No medical attention was required for the injury. As a result of the investigation, Deborah Ann Fields, 50, of Cumberland MD, was arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing. Fields was taken before the District Court Commissioner for her Initial Appearance where she released on her own personal recognizance.
