Cumberland Police Have a Busy Friday

On Friday, April 14, 2023, the Cumberland Police Department served three bench warrants on Ruby McCullough.  The warrants were issued as the result of McCullough failing to appear in court on April 11, 2023.  She was originally charged with CDS: Possess-Not Marijuana (x2) and CDS: Possess Paraphernalia.  McCullough was arrested and later transported to Central Booking.  She was seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

 

ARRESTED:  Ruby Caroline McCullough       AGE:  33          Cumberland, MD

 

On Friday, April 14, 2023 at approximately 12:41 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business in the 800 block of Maryland Avenue for a trespassing complaint.  Police contacted the business owner and an employee who reported that Martin Stanback was trespassing on the property.  The owner explained that Stanback was asked to leave his property on April 13, 2023 because he was attempting to open doors to vehicles that were parked at the business. The owner reported that Stanback returned to the property on April 14, 2023 and was caught inside a vehicle that did not belong to him.  Stanback was arrested and transported to police headquarters.  He was issued citations and released pending trial.

CHARGES:  Trespassing: Private Property, Tampering with a motor vehicle without owner’s consent

On Friday, April 14, 2023 at approximately 4:00 PM, an officer of the Cumberland Police Department was patrolling Virginia Avenue when he observed Ryan Roach walking on the sidewalk.  The officer had knowledge that Roach had an active bench warrant for his arrest.  The officer contacted Roach and placed him under arrest.  While in police custody, Roach fled from the officer and attempted to escape.  The officer was able to catch up to Roach and secure him.  A search of Roach’s person revealed that he was in possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was served with the Circuit Court bench warrant which was issued as the result of Roach violating his probation.  Additional charges were filed.  Roach was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center where he is currently being held without bond pending his appearance before the court.
