BENCH WARRANT SERVED
On Thursday, October 20, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department served a District Court bench warrant on Marquis Carpenter. The warrant was issued as the result of Carpenter violating probation. Carpenter was originally charged with traffic offenses. He was arrested and transported to Central Booking. He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.

BENCH WARRANTS SERVED
On Thursday, October 20, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department served two Circuit Court body attachments and three District Court bench warrants on Patrick Martin. The body attachments were child support related. The bench warrants were issued as a result of Martin violating the conditions of his probation. Martin was originally charged with Burglary-1st Degree, Burglary-4th Degree, Theft: $100 to under $1,500, Burglary-3rd Degree, Burglary-4th Degree Theft, Assault-2nd Degree, CDS Admin Equip Poss/Dist. He was arrested and later transported to Central Booking. During a search of Martin’s person incident to arrest, officers located CDS paraphernalia in his possession. Martin was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Thursday, October 20, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Calvin Kniseley. The summons was issued as a result of a private citizen filing charges against Kniseley at the District Court of Allegany County. Kniseley was released pending trial.
