Allegany County executive director Stu Czapski has officially filed to run for a seat on the board of Allegany County Commissioners. Czapski becomes the third republican joining incumbent Bill Valentine and Cumberland City Councilman Dave Caporale. A fourth candidate, Michael Leptic is running as a Green Party candidate. No democrats have filed. Incumbents Jake Shade and Creade Brodie Jr, both republicans, have not yet filed but are both on record as saying they plan to seek re-election. The deadline to file is not until February 27th.
