Delegate Mckay says General Assembly has failed on Crime and Justice matters

A Wicomico County Sheriff's Deputy killed in the line of duty earlier this month was laid to rest on Tuesday. The event continues to shine a light on the growing number of incidents of violence against police officers- and Delegate Mike Mckay says it also puts a spotlight on what he believes are the failures of Maryland lawmakers when it come to criminal justice issues. The suspect in the shooting death of Sheriff Deputy First Class Glenn Hilliard was not incarcerated back in 2020 when he was convicted of armed robbery.
