Final hurdles were cleared yesterday, and the DelFest organization is optimistic the Allegany County Commissioners will approve a five year contract to keep the festival at the County Fairgrounds.
Stan Strickland, business representative for the Del McCoury Family, was a guest with WCBC's Dave Norman Wednesday morning, and said he expects the contract will be approved with at least two of the three commissioners voting in favor. WCBC will host an open meeting featuring the McCoury Family and the Allegany County Commissioners on November 3rd that was initially designed as a way to air disputes over a deal, but now looks to be a contract signing ceremony.
