Drug Bust leads to four arrests, recovery of crack cocaine and firearms

On Monday members of the Cumberland Police Department with the assistance of the Maryland State Police S.T.A.T.E. Team, Allegany County Narcotics Task Force, and the Allegany County States Attorney’s Office executed a Search and Seizure warrant in the 300blk of Columbia Street as a result of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics. As a result of the Search Warrant, officers seized large amounts of suspected Fentanyl, Crack Cocaine, and Heroin. A sum of US currency and two handguns were also recovered as a result of the search. The following individuals were located within the residence and charged with 3 counts of possession with intent to distribute not marijuana, 3 counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and firearms related charges:

 

Terrence Chester, 29 yoa of Cumberland

Derrick Foxworth, 36 yoa of Cumberland

Brandi Hartley, 40 yoa of Cumberland

Alonzo Harris, 31 yoa of Cumberland

 

All four subjects are currently awaiting their initial appearance at District Court.

This investigation was a coordinated effort between the Cumberland Police Department, Allegany County Narcotics Task Force, and the Allegany County States Attorney’s Office under the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network (MCIN).  The Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention, Youth, and Victim Services provides grant funding and strategic support to MCIN member sites to identify, disrupt, and dismantle criminal organizations through inter-agency collaboration and data sharing to make Maryland safer.
