A busy Friday for city police beginning with a call to a residence in the 200 block of Paca Street where they had contacted Belen Waybright. Throughout the officer’s investigation they learned that Waybright was served with a no trespass letter for the residence and that she also had a Criminal Summons for trespassing at the same location. Waybright was placed under arrest, issued a Criminal Citation, and was served the Criminal Summons. Waybright was released pending her trials at District Court.
Arrest: Belen Marie Santiago Waybright, age 36, Cumberland Maryland.
Charges: Two Counts of Trespassing.
Police also responded to a business in the 200 block of Greene Street for a subject slumped over the wheel of their vehicle. Upon officers arrival they contacted the operator, William Bolyard, and observed signs of impairment. Bolyard was requested to perform standardized field sobriety tests, which he agreed. After the performance of the tests officers observed further evidence of impairment and placed Bolyard under arrest. Bolyard was later released on DUI Citations pending his trial at District Court.
Arrest: William Clarence Bolyard, age 58, Cumberland Maryland
Charges: Driving Under the Influence Citations.
Controlled Dangerous Substance Arrest
And early Saturday an officer of the Cumberland Police Department conducted a traffic stop on vehicle on Henderson Avenue. The officer contacted the operator and explained the reason for the traffic stop. The officer then observed the passenger, Joshua Walker, to exhibit criminal indicators and requested a K-9 scan of the vehicle. A positive alert was indicated on the vehicle and, after a subsequent search a quantity of controlled dangerous substances and hypodermic syringes were located. Walker was subsequently placed under arrest and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center where he awaits his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
