On 10/01/2023 at approximately 2:00 PM the Cumberland City Police were dispatched to the area of East First Street and Seymour Street for an assault. Upon arrival officers contacted a juvenile victim who advised Mark Coleman had punched them and then threatened them with a knife. Officers observed minor injuries on the juvenile. Coleman was not located at that time. The officer submitted an application of charges to the District Court Commissioner and an Arrest Warrant was issued. On 10/05/2023 Coleman was arrested and taken to the Allegany County Detention Center. Coleman received a hearing and was held without bond.
