Changes are coming to the makeup and workflow of the Senator George Edwards Fund.  The current board had its final meeting in June and a new board based off legislation introduced by Delegate James Buckel will be seated, hopefully in time for the July meeting.  Andrew Sargent, Senior Business Development Representative at the Maryland Department of Commerce told WCBC that this first round of funding was a learning experience for both the board and those businesses who applied for funding.  Twenty million dollars was awarded in the first go round, Allegany County receiving $6.6 million dollars for 13 projects.
