Public Safety Strategy Introduced by Governor

Maryland Governor Wes Moore rolled out his administration’s new Public Safety strategy at a press conference Thursday. The plan focuses on law enforcement support, agency coordination, and investing the Maryland’s most at-risk youth. Governor Moore also introduced his choice for the Superintendent of the Maryland State Police, Lieutenant Colonel Roland Butler.  If confirmed, Butler will become the first black State Police Superintendent.  Also announced was an $11 million dollar investment in the Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center or M-CAC, a hub of 30 local, state, and federal agencies providing insight into criminal activity…
