False Imprisonment Arrest

On Sunday February 11th, 2024 at approximately 4:02 am, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 100 block of West Industrial Boulevard for a reported assault in progress. Upon officer’s arrival they attempted to contact the residents, but a male, later identified as Christopher Bradshaw, had yelled for officers to leave. Officers spoke with a witness who advised that they observed Bradshaw to punching and kicking the victim of the incident outside of the residence. The witness additionally advised officers that Bradshaw began dragging the victim across the ground, and into the residence. Officers observed evidence of a struggle outside of the residence, and eventually made contact with Bradshaw at the residence. Bradshaw was advised that he was being detained, and he attempted to re-enter the residence, and began to obstruct the officer’s investigation. Bradshaw was placed under arrest after a brief struggle. The officers were able to locate the victim of the incident, and observed obvious evidence of the assault. Officers spoke with the victim who advised that Bradshaw had started an argument with them, which turned physical. The victim further advised that Bradshaw had struck them in the face several times while inside a vehicle, and they fled to hide. They advised that Bradshaw had located them and again began to strike them repeatedly before telling them to go inside the residence. Bradshaw was remanded to the Allegany County Detention until posting a $5,000 bond.

Arrest: Christopher Dale Bradshaw, age 25, Cumberland Maryland.
Charges: False Imprisonment, Assault First Degree, Assault Second Degree, Obstructing and Hindering.
