The Fort Hill Football team’s winning record was marred by forfeits after an ineligible player was discovered, putting them on the road for playoff games this season. Those forfeits have caused a costly trickle-down effect for the organizations that support the football team. Bill Smith, a member of the Fort Hill Band Parents says significant income has been lost from ticket sales and concessions. “I know the buses – the buses to go to Cambridge-South Dorchester. I think the football team is taking one and the band’s taking two. So you’re probably close to $10,000 for those three buses.”
