Speaker of the House Cas Taylor continues to be remembered across the region following his passing on Monday at the age of 88. Former Delegate George Edwards who served with Cas in the Maryland Legislature, recalled the importance of the completion of the East-West Interstate through Allegany County.
Funeral arrangements for Taylor include a public viewing on Friday from 4-7pm at Scarpelli Funeral Home on Virginia Avenue followed by a Christian Wake Service at 7pm and a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday at 1pm.
