Richard "Dick" Bittner died January 11 at the age of 87. Bittner was a football star at Fort Hill under Coach Bill Hahn in the 1950s and played football at the University of Maryland. He was a teacher at Fort Hill for decades and served as assistant coach for Charlie Lattimer. Bittner became head coach for two years in the mid 1980s.
