The Annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Parade will take place this Friday, November 29th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. To ensure the safety of attendees and minimize traffic disruptions, several temporary changes to the downtown traffic pattern will be implemented. These measures will help maintain smooth traffic flow while accommodating the event.

Traffic adjustments and No Parking will be in effect from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. During this time, the following changes will apply:

• Traffic on Baltimore Street, from either Greene Street or Washington Street, will be allowed to continue down North or South Mechanic St. Baltimore Street will be Closed

• Centre Street @ Dexter Place, will be closed during the entire event.  All traffic on Centre Steet must turn up Dexter Place toward Geroge Street.

• Liberty Street @ Frederick Street will be closed during the entire event.

Traffic will also be temporarily halted on Mechanic Street while the parade moves off of Mechanic Street onto Baltimore Street.

Once the parade concludes, roads will be reopened, with the exception of Baltimore Street that runs through the downtown mall, Centre Street @ Dexter Place and Liberty Street.
