On December 9th a Cumberland Police Officer was patrolling the residential area of Columbia Ave and Pear Street when he observed a sedan with West Virginia registration illegally parked on the corner. The vehicle was parked on a red line and in front of a handicap sidewalk ramp. The Officer initiated contact with the driver concerning the parking infractions. The driver and passenger stated they were lost and chose that area to look for directions. The driver was identified as a Keyser West Virginia resident and the passenger was identified as Destiny Renee Amtower. It was learned that Destiny had warrants from Keyser West Virginia. She was transported to Allegany County Detention Center for extradition to West Virginia after consulting the District Court Commissioner. Stacy was given a warning concerning the parking in-fractions and given directions back to Keyser WV.
Arrest: Destiny Renee Amtower, age 39, Keyser WV
Charges: Fugitive (out of state) on the original West Virginia charges of Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication.
