On February 2nd, 2020, The Cumberland City Police arrested JJ Wayne Denney, age 26, of Ridgeley WV. On this day, the Cumberland Police responded to the area of Fayette St for the report of a suspicious vehicle. Denney was found to be an occupant of that vehicle in question. During the course of the investigation it was learned that Denney had an open Arrest Warrant out of Delaware County, Indiana for failing to appear in court. The warrant was also found to be extraditable. Denney was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters for processing. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held without bond, pending extradition to Indiana.
