On Thursday, March 23, 2023, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Brandon Simpson. The warrant was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on February 12, 2023. On this date at approximately 12:53 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 400 block of Chestnut Street for a disturbance. Police contacted the involved parties and learned that the disturbance stemmed from a neighbor dispute. While police were investigating the incident, Brandon Simpson began yelling from a residence and playing loud music, disrupting people in the area. Officers filed for charges against Simpson at the District Court of Allegany County. Simpson was arrested and transported to Central Booking. He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on a $2,000 bond.
