General Washington's Collation a Heritage day prevent takes place tonight at the Gordon Roberts house from 6 – 9 pm. An elegant evening of food and music featuring preeminent actor/historian John Koopman. A physical match for the Father of Our Country, Mr. Koopman's knowledge of Washington's life, his personality, courage and horsemanship thrilled attendees at last year's Heritage Days Wills Creek Muster. Combine that with the international class music of the Firebird String Quartet and colonial food provided by Wholesome Harvest from Frostburg and you've added a true night to remember to your social calendar.
Heritage Days is one of many new programming initiatives underway at the Allegany County Historical Society.
