The Cumberland Police Department would like to inform the public that there will be a planned high voltage upgrade to the Center City Parking Garage (CCPG) on S. George Street. Because of this event there will be free parking on Wednesday, January 31st and Thursday, February 1st. All gates will remain in the raised position during that time period and there will be no electrical service inside the garage, including the elevators and lighting. If you choose to use the CCPG during this time, please use caution when parking your vehicle and/or using the stairwells. The CCPG should be back in full service on Friday, February 2. Questions should be directed to the Office of Traffic and Parking at (301) 759-6473 between 8:00am and noon, Mon thru Friday.
