The fall conference of the Appalachian Regional Commission takes place Monday and Tuesday at Frostburg State University. Governor Wes Moore, along with ARC Chair Gayle Manchin, and Rebecca Flora of the Maryland Department of Planning will be the main speakers at the conference opening on Monday. This year’s theme for the conference is Appalachian Places: Growing Local Economies. The conference will highlight connections between Appalachia’s culture and geography and how they drive economic opportunity.
