Grantsville Fire Does $40,000 Damage

An accidental fire on Meyersdale Road north of Grantsville Saturday morning did $40,000 in damage to a two car garage.  It took 35 responding fire fighters only five minutes to bring the blaze under control, and it is being blamed on the failure of a refrigerator and its power supply.  No vehicles were in the garage at the time.
