The Lakota Group, a consultancy from Chicago, has been in Cumberland a few days now, learning about the area and speaking to stakeholders before putting together a historic preservation plan for the City. Speaking on the Dave Norman show Tuesday morning, a Lakota Group representative spoke about the questions they are looking to answer with a plan.
The plan to be designed is more than just creating an attractive space, creating growth for the community in the process.
The Historic Preservation Commission is hosting a workshop for the public tonight at 6:30 in City Hall. Ruth Davis-Rogers encourages the public to attend and bring their thoughts and concerns for input into the plan’s development.
