Hogan Not Interested in Bidding War with VA in New Commanders Stadium

The future of the NFL’s Washington Commanders in Maryland continues to be subject of discussion-  but Governor Larry Hogan says he has no interest in getting involved in a bidding war with Virginia- and he has little appetite for allocating taxpayers money for a new stadium. The team has taken tangible steps toward building a new stadium in Virginia with owner Dan Snyder recently among a contingent meeting  with Virginia legislators to discuss funding proposals and potential sites. Rumors continue to swirl that the team is planning a move when its lease for FedEx Field in Landover, Md., expires after 2027. Governor Hogan was asked about that possibility…
