July 22nd, 2020 by WCBC Radio

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan began his press conference with a review of the Maryland history of COVID-19, saying key metrics continue to trend in a good direction.

The statewide positivity rate for testing is under 4.5%, which is better than the goal of 5%.

He advocated for state stabilization funding from the federal government.

Nationwide, there are testing delays, according to Hogan.

He commented on the election plan for November, saying a repeat of June 2nd would not be acceptable.

State BOE Superintendent Dr Karen Salmon said local school systems would be given the option of how to reopen, with guidelines of what needs to be done in order reopen buildings.
