As the month of May draws to a close the state of Maryland continues to make progress in reopening as Governor Larry Hogan made several announcements Wednesday. Outdoor dining will make a return this weekend.
The governor also announced that youth sports may resume.
Public swimming pools may also get ready for the summer season.

I don’t know how the staff and lifeguards at area pools will be able to regulate the “distancing” of kids, and even adults, in a pool, or if it can be done at all. Even at 25% capacity, I highly doubt people will be playing and frolicking by themselves in the pool. But time will tell – 10-14 days incubation period. Chlorine can’t kill everything….and kids DO pee in a pool – the virus is carried in bodily fluids.
I’ll be sitting this summer out, I think.
