The Cumberland City Police Department would like to announce the following parking restrictions and street closures that will take place for the annual Hooley Pub Crawl in the downtown area on Saturday, March 16, 2024 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.
The Cumberland Street Department will place “No Parking Signs” on designated streets in the downtown area on Friday, March 15, 2024. Parking will be prohibited from 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16th, until 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 17th at the following locations: Centre Street from Harrison Street to Baltimore Street; Pershing Street from Mechanic to Liberty Street and the MPA parking lot on Merchants Alley. At 3:00 p.m. parking restrictions will occur on Liberty Street.
The following streets will be closed on Saturday March 16, 2024: Centre Street from Harrison Street to Frederick Street; Liberty Street from Frederick Street to Harrison Street and Pershing Street at Mechanic Street. Union Street will be closed just prior to Centre Street in such a fashion that individuals can still exit from the Centre City parking garage onto Union Street. All streets should be opened by 2:00 a.m.
Please expect an increase in vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the area. Please plan accordingly and as always be safe.
