City and county officials appear to be on board for funding a downtown hotel. Saturday’s Cumberland Times-News reports that the new Willis Hotel will be at the corner of Liberty and Baltimore Streets at the former Manhattan building. The city of Cumberland will contribute $100,000 with $250,000 coming from both Allegany County and the Senator George C. Edwards Fund.
