Those in the area not into holiday shopping the day after Thanksgiving may want to join in a hike to work off some of that turkey dinner.  In celebration of Native American Heritage Day on Friday, Ranger Julia at Dans Mountain State Park will be leading a moderately challenging mile and a half hike along part of the Lonacona Loop Trail. The hike starts at 3pm and hikers can experience Dans Mountain during the “golden hour” and understand why the trail’s namesake, Lonacona, felt such a connection to the area.
