Maryland has marked the week of July 21-31 as “Maryland Buy Local Week” with a focus on local foods available in every community.  The Allegany Farmers Market brings together vendors from across Allegany, Garrett, and Mineral Counties twice a week to offer locally grown produce, meats, and other items.  Melinda Kelleher, Executive Director of the Downtown Development Commission spoke to WCBC about the wide variety of products available…

The Farmers Market takes place on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9:30 till 1pm through the end of October at Canal Place.
