Maryland hoping to drive down the number of traffic fatalities

April 17th, 2023 by WCBC Radio

Maryland is hoping that new data released by the state can help drive down the number of traffic fatalities in the state. In 2022 and 2021 there were 563 traffic fatalities throughout the state. Aggressive driving, impairment from alcohol and drugs and distracted driving were the biggest causes of roadway fatalities. In Washington county alone 11 of the 21 fatalities last year were the result of aggressive driving.
