Maryland officials are urging a “Medicaid Check-in” for the 1.8 million Medicaid participants who may need to reapply for benefits during the redetermination period, which runs from April2023-May 2024. The push comes as the end of the national COVID state of emergency means that Medicaid recipients will no longer be automatically re-enrolled.
