Insurance rates for those enrolled in Obama Care in Maryland will increase

Starting January 1 health insurance premiums in Maryland will rise for those enrolled in the Affordable Care Act, also known as ObamaCare. Rates for individual plans will increase by an average of 6.6 percent in 2023.  The price hike is primarily due to the current inflation rate which is currently 8.26%.   During an appearance on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show”,  David Stewart, program director, Western Maryland Health Connector at AHEC West, said that while the Affordable Care Act is not without it’s flaws, it at least provides options and opportunities for many Marylanders…
