The Circuit Court for Baltimore City authorized the Office for the Attorney General to release a revised, un-redacted version of the Report on Child Sexual Abuse in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The new version of the report will be released in late September. The original report was released in April with over 30 names redacted or blacked out by order of the court to shield identities of ten alleged abusers who had not previously been publicly accused of child abuse. The report also redacted the names of five ranking officials in the Archdiocese who handled abuser clergy and reports of child abuse. The court’s ruling will reveal the identities of all but three people
