Maryland public schools may be in need of even more state money, as a decrease in enrollment could impact funding. But state school Superintendent Karen Salmon says she is sticking to her belief that it's temporary. The new enrollment numbers are tied directly to the Coronavirus with many parents said the pandemic has forced them to look for other education options for their children. Salmon said while many parents have opted to either home school their children without the virtual learning component or enrolled their kids in private school- she is convinced students who left will eventually return to public schools…
