The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development has announced over eleven million dollars will be used for local infrastructure projects. The City of Cumberland will use 4.9 million dollars toward a variety of projects, including the purchase of new vehicles and equipment, plus the improvement of various city-owned buildings and facilities. The other municipalities in Maryland receiving the funds are Middletown in Frederick County and Mount Airy in Carroll County.
