On Saturday, July 8, 2023 at approximately 2:31 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 100 block of Memorial Avenue for an assault. Officers arrived and contacted the involved parties. The alleged victim reported that she had been assaulted by Dantavius Adams Jr. She explained that Adams strangled her and would not let her leave the residence. Officers observed that the victim had sustained injuries. After further investigation, Adams was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking where he is currently awaiting his initial appearance before the court.

CHARGES: Assault-1st Degree, Assault-2nd Degree, False Imprisonment
