A contract has been awarded to Lashley Construction for the site preparation and construction of the Miners Memorial park in Frostburg.  The project is a partnership between the Allegany County Commissioners, the City of Frostburg, the Foundation for Frostburg, State of Maryland, Program Open Space and other fundraising partners in the community.  The Park will be located at the top of the switchback at the Depot in Frostburg and feature signage, statues and other information highlighting the mining history of the County and honoring all deceased miners from the region’s past.  Committee member Eleanor Arnone addressed the Commissioners to express appreciation for supporting the project…
