Moore Second Agenda “Continuing Progress”

September 11th, 2025 by WCBC Radio

Governor Wes Moore says economic momentum, public safety, and affordable housing remain on the agenda for his second term as Maryland governor.  Moore told WBAL’s T.J. Smith his focus will be on “continuing the progress”…

“We’ve added over 100,000 jobs since I have been the governor, and now Maryland has had over 30,000 new businesses start in the state of Maryland or come to the state of Maryland.”

In order to continue progress, specifically in diversifying economic growth, Moore adds Maryland must “wean” itself from Washington D.C….

“We have now had over 12,000 Marylanders fired by this administration.  It’s the largest firing that we’ve seen of Federal workers in any state of the country.  We have now seen a quarter of a billion dollars being cut from rural health.  We have got to wean off of Washington.”
