Cumberland residents and businesses can now apply to the city to name one of the 17 benches on Baltimore Street or the waterfall at Liberty Street. The naming process is on a first-come, first-served basis. Proceeds will be used to maintain Baltimore Street. Those interested in naming or dedicating can apply through cumberlandmd.gov. Naming rights for the waterfall can be 5 or 10 years according to Mayor Ray Morriss…

   

“For the waterfall, it’s $5,000 for five years, $10,000 for 10; and also the benches are $1,000 dollars for the life of the bench which is probably 10 years.”
